Valet Accident Claims Guide
How to file a valet accident lawsuit.
1
Document Before & After
Take photos and videos of your vehicle before handing it to the valet. Document any existing damage. Do the same when retrieving the vehicle.
2
Report Damage Immediately
If you notice damage, report it immediately to the valet manager before leaving. Request a written incident report with your copy.
3
Keep Your Valet Ticket
Preserve your valet ticket - it contains the terms and conditions. Note: liability waivers have limitations and may not apply to negligence.
4
Get Witness Information
If others witnessed the incident (other valets, customers), get their contact information. Security cameras may have captured the incident.
5
Consult Property Attorney
Valet companies often have insurance. An experienced attorney can navigate bailment law and challenge liability waivers.
